Creative Trading Industries cc. was incorporated in February of 2005 by its founding member Michael Pretorius after Michael realised that there was a major lack in the South African market for reliable, good contracting companies to implement solutions for the personal homeowner who needed top quality products, top quality workmanship, and professional service. |

It was identified that too many companies used ‘short cuts’ when it came to implementation of projects in order to save costs and time. The problem with such short cuts is that everything might look good once a project is complete, but it is usually only a matter of time before those short cuts start showing, and by then it is usually too late to get the person back that did the project. We thus endeavoured to source the best products and the best people to become part of our company in order to add extra value for our customers. |

Based on experience with a number of different products in the building industry, Creative Touches was formed to do its projects on a project management basis, with a qualified project manager. We developed an extremely evolved quotation system and a highly integrated communication system inside the company in order to keep everyone informed of happenings and developments regarding our projects. We employed project managers and had them ‘buy into’ the company, thus ensuring even higher quality implementations as these managers’ incomes and dividend payments are directly linked to how well the company is performing. It is a specific requirement that our project managers be on site so that there can be a constant supervision over the projects that we run. We also limit the number of projects that can run at one time so that we do not lose track of a project and have subsequent poor implementations. |

It is imperative for the building industry to be rid of people and companies that do not do proper work. They cost the consumer large amounts of money, endanger them through weak implementations, and bring the name of the building industry down to a point where you are not willing to trust anyone anymore, and as a result the feelings of negativity that is so imprinted on our daily lives in South Africa is worsened even more. |
